The Civil Society Organizations Forum (CSO Forum) on the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC) is a framework for strategic partnership to improve child rights in Africa by engaging with the African Committee of Experts on the rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) in its mandate to promote and protect children’s rights, and providing a platform for partnership, networking and advocacy around children’s rights and wellbeing in Africa. This session was attended by the Executive Director of YOVi from 17-19 October, 2016. The purpose of the CSO Forum was to collect information based on evidence and emerging trends from the local/grass root levels. The information is then put in a form of recommendations to the ACERWC for its onward transmission for action by State parties.
