Child marriage remains a significant challenge in many regions nationwide, depriving
young girls of their rights and hindering their access to education and opportunities.
YOVI takes proactive steps to combat this issue by implementing education
programmes in schools and communities. We work closely with stakeholders, including
traditional authorities, religious leaders, parents, teachers, and community leaders, to
raise awareness about the negative consequences of child marriage. Additionally, we
provide vulnerable girls with skills training, equip girls with the knowledge and abilities
necessary to pursue economic opportunities and lead independent lives, and break free
from the cycle of poverty and dependence that often accompanies child marriage.
